Debbie Mucarsel-Powell Hosts Meet and Greet with US Attorney General Eric Holder

Miami, FL – Today, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and former US Attorney General Eric Holder hosted a meet and greet with Miami voters to talk about the fight to lower costs and protect our freedoms in Florida.

“As I travel the state, voters all over Florida tell me they are tired of the extremism, chaos, and political division. Our vote is our power and we must defend it from those who threaten our democracy,” said Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. “Rick Scott had the chance to defend our democracy by voting to affirm free and fair elections and certify the 2020 election, but he refused. There is a better path forward for our state – a path where every family can afford to thrive and where the rights of every Floridian are respected. I’m incredibly thankful to have the support of my friend Attorney General Holder, and with his support, we will ensure every voter has their voice heard. In November, we will retire Rick Scott.”

“I’m proud to be in Florida to support Debbie Mucarsel-Powell for the U.S. Senate. This election is a choice between a candidate who is focused on the issues that matter most to Floridians—protecting the rights of the people and key programs that support them like Social Security and Medicare, and strengthening the middle class—and a politician who time again has sold out Floridians for his own gain,”  said Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States. “Rick Scott even voted against protecting access to IVF, supported a national abortion ban, and wrote the plan to cut Social Security and Medicare This election is an opportunity to turn the page on Rick Scott’s harmful, unpopular policies, and start a new chapter by electing a leader like Debbie, who will always put Floridians first and pursue policies that reflect the will of the people
